Ms. Bahwan is a widely respected Omani business personality and is considered as one of the preeminent entrepreneurs in Oman and the wider Middle East region. Ms. Bahwan is the Founder and Chairperson of the Bahwan CyberTek Group (BCT) focused on information technology, IS security, technology solutions, commodity trading, renewable energy and engineering projects.


The BCT Group with nine subsidiaries, three Joint Ventures and multiple Strategic Partnerships, is the creator of digital transformation products with clear value leadership in Predictive Analytics, Digital Experience Management and Digital Supply Chain Management and Risk Transformation in BFSI to name a few.


With over 3000+ associates, BCT has delivered solutions in 20 countries across North America, the Middle East, India, Far East, Africa and Asia. BCT is a trusted partner for over 1000+ customers, including Fortune 500 companies.

Ms. Bahwan has a passion for building new businesses and in 2020 she launched Bahwan Lifestyle, a brand which focuses on developing a portfolio of innovative luxury products for discerning consumers. The cornerstone of Bahwan Lifestyle is “OJAR”, a collection of exclusive fragrances that capture the soul of the Middle East and the Occident, exquisitely combining them in a perfect fusion that balances heritage and modernity.

Ms. Bahwan is involved in and has served on the Boards of a variety of public and private organizations. She is on the Board of the Harvard Business School Middle East and North Africa (MENAAB) which helps in incorporating a global perspective into the school’s work and curriculum. She is a Member of the Middle East Advisory Board of Coutts & Co, and a Board Member of the Family Business Network (FBN) for GCC.

Ms. Bahwan also served as a Member on the Middle East Advisory Board of the Deutsche Bank, the Board of Oman’s Public Authority for Social Insurance and has also previously chaired the Oman Chapter of Young President’s Organization (YPO).

Ms. Bahwan is a recipient of many honors including France’s Legion of Honor Award in 2019, Ernst & Young’s ‘Oman’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2000’, Arabian Business ‘e-Achiever of the Year’ award from H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rasheed in 2001, ‘IT Women of the Year 2002’ award by UNDP,
‘Global Leaders for Tomorrow’ award by the World Economic Forum in 2003, ‘Global Young Leader’ by the World Economic Forum in 2007 and ‘Woman of Power Award’ by Asian Business Leadership Forum in 2011.

In 2017, under the leadership of Ms. Bahwan, Bahwan CyberTek was featured as a Stanford case study titled “The evolution of Bahwan CyberTek and its journey beyond 2017”. This makes Bahwan CyberTek one of the select group of organizations that have featured as a Stanford Case Study. A second case study was written by Stanford University on Bahwan CyberTek titled “Bahwan CyberTek in 2018 –
Developing dt360”. Both these case studies have now also been published by “Harvard Business Review Publications”. It is a unique and coveted distinction to be recognized by the two best Management Schools in the world.

Ms. Bahwan has been featured in the Forbes 100 Power Businesswomen in The Middle East on multiple occasions.

Ms. Bahwan is a graduate in Computer Science, a Harvard Business School alumna and a Kellogg School of Management Executive Scholar in leadership and management.
