Bader Nasser Al-Kharafi is the Founder and CEO of BNK Holding, his personal holding company headquartered in Kuwait and established in 2016. BNK Holding oversees and manages a portfolio of businesses spanning over multiple industries.
Bader Al-Kharafi holds many Board level positions which include being Chairman of Gulf Cables, a manufacturing provider of cables, Vice Chairman & CEO at Zain Group, a leading mobile voice, data and digital services operator to over 48.9 million active individual and business customers as of September 30, 2020. Bader Al-Kharafi is also a Board Member at Gulf Bank, an industry-leading financial services provider, Board Member of Foulath Holding B.S.C. a Bahraini steel production plant, and Vice Chairman of Diamond International Motors company in Egypt, the authorized distributor / agent for Mitsubishi vehicles.
Bader Al-Kharafi is the official representative of the consortium as Chairman of the Board of the Executive Committee of Boursa Kuwait. With this appointment, Boursa Kuwait won the privatization auction, taking a 44% equity stake in the local stock exchange.
Under BNK holding, BNK Automotive acquired the franchise rights for Volvo Cars for Kuwait in 2019 and under BNK Motion, Bader Al-Kharafi also acquired the franchise rights for Piaggio Group and Vanderhall Motor Works in 2020.
Bader Al-Kharafi has an ethical obligation towards society and it’s people and through his capacity as Chairman of INJAZ, a non-profit, non-governmental organization, they deliver educational programs on entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work readiness to students from KG to 12th Grade with the aim of inspiring and educating future generations.
Additionally, Bader Al-Kharafi was appointed as a board member of UNHCR The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees ‘Sustainability Board’. This Board is mandated to provide sustainable and innovative solutions for refugees in the MENA region.
Bader Al-Kharafi is also a member of the Middle East Advisory Board at Coutts, the wealth division of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group and a Board Member of the Kuwait-British Friendship Society, an entity dedicated to boosting and maintaining the excellent relationship between Kuwait and the U.K. since 1992.
Bader Al-Kharafi has obtained both a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Kuwait University and an MBA from London Business School.
